Funding, made clearer

Find the right route for your organisation.

If you pay the levy

We will help you explore using your apprenticeship service account to fund eligible training and assessment, within the programme’s funding band.

If you do not pay the levy

Government support may be available. Your contribution depends on the apprentice, programme and current funding rules. We will confirm the position before enrolment.

If a levy transfer could help

A levy-paying employer may be able to transfer funding. We can discuss whether that route fits your circumstances and what needs to be arranged.

Funding applies to eligible apprenticeships in England. Read the government’s funding guidance ↗

  3. 03

    Put learning into practice

Agree a training plan and build skills through the work itself.

Agree the training schedule, protected learning time and review points before the programme starts. Your apprentice has a named coach, and you know how to stay involved.

Questions before you start

Let’s make the practicalities clear.

Can I develop someone already in my team?

An apprenticeship can support an existing employee where there is substantial new learning. We will assess their role, experience and eligibility with you.

How is learning fitted around work?

We agree a training plan and protected learning time with you and the apprentice. Workplace delivery still requires time to learn, practise and be assessed.

Will AI training put our data at risk?

Agree what data can be used, which tools are approved and who is accountable before any live project. The discovery conversation should include your organisation’s information governance requirements.

Do we need technical staff already?

Tell us what your team does and the systems it uses. We will assess whether the programme fits the role and what technical support a proposed project would need.

Is this about replacing roles?

The diagnostic starts with the work that takes time and the judgement your people bring. It does not assume that automation is appropriate or that replacing a role is the answer.

What happens if an apprentice leaves?

Tell PEAK promptly so the team can explain the next steps for learning, records and funding under the rules that apply to that apprentice.
