Who this is for

Build on the work your team already does.

For teams working directly with children, young people and families in care and community settings.

What your apprentice can build towards

  • Build relationships that help children and families feel heard.
  • Recognise needs, plan support and review what changes.
  • Work with colleagues and other services to keep people safe.

How learning works

Learn it.
Use it. Reflect on it.

A plan around the role

Agree the learning schedule, coaching and review points with PEAK and your apprentice. Make space in the working week to learn and practise.

Support as skills develop

A named coach helps your apprentice connect learning to real work. Regular reviews bring the apprentice, employer and coach together.

Evidence and assessment

Build evidence of what your apprentice can do and prepare for the assessment required by the applicable standard. PEAK will explain the milestones and readiness requirements at the start.
